Briar Hill is the street in Toronto where Jane grew up, in a neighbourhood that quietly shaped her understanding of what “home” really means. It was a place where neighbours knew each other, kids played outside, doors were open, and people looked out for one another without being asked. Homes weren’t seen as assets. They were the backdrop for real life. As Jane built her real estate career, that sense of community never left her. The name Briar Hill felt inevitable. It wasn’t about sounding polished or corporate. It was about honouring the values that had always guided her: care, continuity, and connection. Those same values are what drew Sean to this business. He also comes from a close-knit Toronto community, and in 2020 he and his family chose Victoria as their forever home. The move west changed the scenery, but not the way we believe this work should be done. For us, real estate has never been transactional. It’s built on long-term relationships, trust earned over time, and the understanding that buying or selling a home is often tied to major life moments.
